Feb. 12 lead-pipe news (or non-news) from Karen

Good morning.
Having triumphantly found Larry's phone number after losing it for the second time, I just talked to him, and I am about to e-mail him the figures I've collected regarding people's lead-pipe quotes. He is going to talk to Pertzborn and see if he can get more than a 5 percent discount. The difference between Pertzborn and Jepa ranged from 5 to 25 percent, though one house was actually $3 less for Jepa.

At least two people already sent their contracts to Pertzborn. After Larry talks to Pertzborn to see if they are willing to offer more than 5 percent, I'll send Pertzborn a letter with everyone on the list to say that is who we know of who are in on the project. I hope to get that taken care of by the end of the weekend. I'll phrase the letter so no one is committed to going with Pertzborn.

If anyone knows anyone who wants to get on our discount list, please have her/him contact me. They don't have to be from Ohio Ave. If they haven't gotten a bid yet, they should tell Pertzborn when they make the appointment that they are part of the Ohio Avenue group discount, and then contact me right away with their name, phone, e-mail and street address.
