The contractor said that the concrete company might come as early as Wednesday, since the excavation was completed Tuesday, ahead of schedule. Optimism was in the air. Judy and Karen harvested rocks for Judy's garden

Tony from Vendura came Wednesday to measure the walls around the bathtub and the step for the solid surface. They're scheduled to install the panels on July 2. Then the plumber can put in the toilet and bathtub fixtures, and Karen can order the shower door. Sure hope the plumber isn't on vacation.

Wednesday came and went, featuring a high temperature of 87 degrees and no precipitation before 5 p.m. A perfect day for working with concrete. Rain fell Wednesday night.

Just like Wednesday, Thursday and Friday went by, with respective highs of 72 and 76 degrees. 0.19 inches of rain fell between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. Thursday.

No concrete, though the contractor reported Thursday that the concrete guy stopped by to look over the site.

Thursday night Karen dreamed of snow covering her pit and pile of dirt with a gentle white blanket.

The contractor, the plumber
and the architect consulted
on the creative second-floor
plumbing on Friday.

On Friday, the contractor started working on cutting the hole for the new stairs to the basement. He wisely decided to bring in the city building inspector.

On Monday, we hope.
